LGPAC training at the District headquarters.

Officials from the Ministry of Local Government conducted a training of local government public accounts committee,(LGPAC) at the District headquarters.

The overall objective of the training was to orient the LGPAC members on their roles of assuming honesty, accountability and integrity in the acquisition and expenditure of public funds.

Roles of the LGPAC include,

1. Examine reports of the auditor general on Accounts of local government.

2. Examine internal auditor's reports quarterly.

Rotational TPC meeting at Bbaale Subcounty Headquarters.

The CAO Kayunga led a team of Departmental Heads, section heads, SACAOs and Town Clerks to Bbaale Subcounty for a technical planning committee meeting.

The CAO thanked members for the adoption to the rotational approach of holding TPC meetings at Subcounties.

The following SACAOS Bbaale, kangulumila SC, kitimbwa TC and SC, Nazigo SC, and the Clerk to Council presented their performance reports.

OPM and Red Cross society delivering Relief items to victims in Kayunga Sub County.

The Uganda Red Cross and Office of the Prime Minister delivered a batch of relief supplies to 85 Households in kayunga Subcounty.

This was done following a hailstorm which occured on 8th November 2024 that affected 4 villages within Kayunga Subcounty.

The villages included Ntooke, Bwetyaba, Gaaza, and kafugge where a total number of 750 Households were affected and 5 persons injured.

1418.1 acres of food was affected, 46 Homes were destroyed, 48 homes were partly destroyed and 85 homes were displaced thus prompting Red cross rapid response.
