RADIO TALK SHOW ON COMMUNITY SERVICE ORDER

The community Service Officer (CSO) Kayunga Court together with Officials from the District held a talk show at Sauti fm.

The CSO highlighted the benefits of community service order.

"community service means non-custodial punishment."

The high court or it's subordinates orders the offender to perform unpaid work of public interest for a specific period of time while residing at his home.  

This is eligible to persons that are not habitual offenders, have been found guilty and have homes.

She warned Offenders who hire people to work for them.

SUBSTANTIVE DISTRICT KADHI KAYUNGA

Kayunga District Muslim community welcomed a new District  Kadhi Sheikh Dr Muhammed Haruna Bukenya.

In attendance was his Eminence the Mufti and his deputy, RDCs, Area members of parliament, Hon ministers, NRM District chairperson, chairperson LCV represented by the District speaker and the Muslim fraternity.

Rt hon minister Minsa Kabanda congratulated the District Kadhi upon his success and thanked his Eminence the Mufti for his progressive leadership. The president is not segregative and considers all religions.

LAUNCHING NAKATULI AND KAYONZA PRIMARY SCHOOL

Kayunga District leadership commissioned 2 classroom blocks at Nakatuli R/C primary school in Galiraya subcounty and 2 class room block at Kayonza Ps.

In attendance were CAO, vice chairpersons, LCV chairpersons, DEO, District councilors, LC representatives, Religious leaders among others.

The head teachers acknowledged support and commitment from the Government of Uganda

Through Kayunga District good leadership and team work.

They however pointed out challenges which include inadequate latrine, staff quarters, few staff, desks etc.
