The District Heads conducted 2 site meetings under the Health Department. At Ntenjeru HC III, the District Team Appreciated the progress of the work and further urged the contractor to speed up since he had 2 months to the completion of the contract and failure to do so will lead to funds being swept back to the consolidating fund.
The Residents of Kayunga District were overwhelmed with joy when over 600 residents from Kitimbwa and Kayonza sub counties received Certificate of Tittles from His Excellence The President Of Uganda at Nkokonjeru, Kitimbwa subcounty. The Hon Minister Of State For Lands Doctor Sam Mayanja accompanied by The area Member of Parliament Hon Tebandeke Charles witnessed the Exercise. The Minister referred to the event as historical since the land is cradle and a Tittle is the only real property someone can own.
Kayunga District Production Department held a micro scale irrigation exhibition at the District Headquarters under the theme "Great farming opportunity to get reduced price irrigation equipment"
According to the District Agricultural Engineer Mrs Namwanje Zubedha, the program will only benefit farmers with land adjacent to water bodies and on commercial scale. It will furthermore help farmers with the ability to contribute 25% as government covers 75% of the cost.
The District Speaker urged farmers to stick and support the current Good leadership in Kayunga District.
