WORKSHOP ON THE USAGE OF TELA MACHINES BY THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SPORTS

A team from the MoES  held a training with Head teachers on the operationalisation of TELA system at Namagabi UMEA Primary School in Kayunga District.

The District Education Officer Mr Bubaale Dan urged School Heads to embrace the TELA system in schools and institutions to fight the challenge of absenteeism and late coming of Teachers and learners. A TELA system is a performance monitoring platform designed to monitor teacher, headteacher and learner’s attendance.

The DEO emphasised on the issue of submitting performance appraisal forms for the previous financial year.

He warned the Head teachers against losing the TELA system.

The Chief Finance officer Mr Lukande Paul encouraged schools’ heads to be effective and efficient so as to achieve the desired goals. He further said "it’s your attitude not aptitude that determines your latitude".

He warned against falsified accountability, wasteful expenditure and self-interests over riding institutional interests.
