TECHNICAL COMMISSIONING OF BUSAANA KAYUNGA WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM

Today 2nd June 2023 the Ministry of Water and Environment/DWD held a Technical commissioning of Busaana - Kayunga water supply system which was presided over by Commissioner Engineer Twinomujuni John. In this event, The contractor "VAMBECO ENT LTD" handed over the project to the client (MWE) who also handed it over to the Central Umbrella of Water and Sanitation (CUWS) to directly manage water supply system.

The project is intended to supply safe water to Busaana, Kayunga communities and also needy sub-counties like Bbaale with an intention of improving people's standards of living

In attendance was the Asst commissioner Mr. Tuyinamuchunguzi Felix, RDC, Asst RDC, CAO, LCV Chairperson, Speaker, DISO, District officials, consultants, Engineer's, etc. The District Leadership thanked the African Development Bank for funding the Government of Uganda and Ministry of Water and Environment in particular for the project. They requested the UWSC to recruit enough staff so as to provide Water extensions to the community and homesteads since Kayunga is a water scarce area.
