This prompted the CAO to ask whether, "The District had right Officials, in right places, doing the right thing or were just reluctant and didn't know what to do”. He thanked the officials from the Ministry for coming to get us out of the shame list and pledged that we shall improve.
The Officials from the Ministry pointed out the causes of the poor performance which included poor planning by the DLG 's, lack of boreholes maintenance system technicians, lack of water abstraction permit etc and gave assistance for improvement which included having substantial Officers, providing safe water to seed schools and health centres, performance appraisals for heads of departments and team work in supervision planning and monitoring.
