Natural resources committee on a field outreach program.

The Committee on Natural Resources conducted a monitoring outreach on PDM implemention in kayunga District.

PDM is a key government program aimed at uplifting households out of poverty through decentralized planning and resource allocation at parish level.

The committee members visited a number of beneficiaries who included Mr.Ssekimuli a resident of Namalere village, kayonza Subcounty who received 1 million to boast his business of 3 million and now having 6 million.

A bee farmer was visited in Nakyitokolo parish Bbaale Subcounty
Who received 22 bee hives and is successfully harvesting honey.

Mr Mawerere Imran a resident of Namaliri village kayonza Subcounty
a successful pineapple farmer cultivates on 2.7 acres and is generating from his agricultural activities.

Salangamo Steven in Namirembe village Bbaale Subcounty received 800,000. bought a piglet at 350,000 and is progressively successful.

Mutesa Philmon, Zura Namutebi, and Ssaali Brian residents of Galiraaya have also tremendously utiilised PDM funds.

The Committee Chairperson expressed his appreciation for the visit which provided valuable insight into the Program.

He further highlighted the Positive impact of PDM and reminded the beneficiaries that this is a revolving fund which should be paid back.
