District Council Session for FY 2024/2025.

Kayunga District first council session FY 2024/2025.

The District Chairperson presented some new members of the District executive committee.

Hon Fahad kamanda the secretary for education was replaced by Hon Nanda Micheal and Hon kayemba Ivan secretary for production was replaced by Hon Ntege as Secretary for Health. 

The dropped Councillors are facing various charges under the Chief magistrate Court.

The District Chairperson's State of the District address was postponed to next Council sitting.

The Chairperson gave highlights on the success of PDM in Kayunga.

He further emphasized about the construction of sezibwe bridge as on going.

He said the nominations for the District land board and District Service Commission will be presented to council in the next sitting.  

He discouraged divisionism and called for solidarity and harmony among the council members and promised to work hand in hand with them.

The supplementary budget FY 2024/2025 was Approved.

Subdivision of kayonza Subcounty into kayonza and Kitwe Subcounties was approved.

It was resolved that all District Councilors become members of boards of governors in schools.

Council acknowledged kayunga junior football team and promised to award certificates of appreciation to them and their Head teacher.

The CAO Mr Malikk Mahabba requested for harmony and unity and pledged maximum support to the political leadership.
