MICRO SCALE IRRIGATION EXHIBITION AT THE DISTRICT HEADQUARTERS

Kayunga District Production Department held a micro scale irrigation exhibition at the District Headquarters under the theme "Great farming opportunity to get reduced price irrigation equipment"

According to the District Agricultural Engineer Mrs Namwanje Zubedha, the program will only benefit farmers with land adjacent to water bodies and on commercial scale. It will furthermore help farmers with the ability to contribute 25%  as government covers 75% of the cost.

The District Speaker urged farmers to stick and support the current Good leadership in Kayunga District.

The Deputy RDC Mr Mawerere Simon Peter thanked the District technical team for embracing government programs and further thanked the President of the Republic of Uganda for the massive contribution of the 75% and requested for support come 2026.

The District Chairman encouraged the Honorable Councilors to also pick interest and spearhead in their areas of political representation.

The LCV encouraged farmers to make use of the irrigation equipment to boost their income and standards of living.

The District Agricultural Officer Mrs Ann Bulya called upon farmers to pick interest in the project and procure the irrigation equipment to boost their production.
