MUCOBADI ENTRY MEETING WITH OFFICIALS AT THE DISTRICT HEADQUARTERS HELD ON 07/11/2023

A team from MUCOBADI held an entry meeting with Officials at the District headquarters.

MUCOBADI is a Ugandan NGO founded in 2000 whose focus is supporting people living with HIV.

It operates in over 36 Districts including Kayunga.

It implements USAID/ICARE facilities which MUWRP was implementor

The project cost is 23,391,681 USD.

 

The purpose of the meeting was to introduce MUCOBADI to the District Technical team. Its roles include improving care and resilience for children and youth in East and Central Uganda.

The CAO pledged support and informed them that the government often partners with the private sector to help boost resources and fund projects.

He further encouraged them to fill the gaps that MUWRP had left and mostly concentrate on children and orphans.

Mr. Frank a facilitator said the goals for MUCOBADI are;

1.Building health systems to respond to HIV

2.Improving access to sustainable water, sanitation and hygiene.

3.Improving responsiveness to community-based violence.

4.Empowering vulnerable households to overcome poverty.

DISO encouraged them to get a physical office around Kayunga for emergency purposes and encouraged them to support CDOs and police to implement their tasks.

The RDC registered his commitments to all stakeholders and advised them to make sure their programs do not compromise the job roles and responsibilities of government workers.

He further emphasized that all approaches used should function towards changing the lifestyles and mindsets of the people.
