LAUNCHING NAKATULI AND KAYONZA PRIMARY SCHOOL

Kayunga District leadership commissioned 2 classroom blocks at Nakatuli R/C primary school in Galiraya subcounty and 2 class room block at Kayonza Ps.

In attendance were CAO, vice chairpersons, LCV chairpersons, DEO, District councilors, LC representatives, Religious leaders among others.

The head teachers acknowledged support and commitment from the Government of Uganda

Through Kayunga District good leadership and team work.

They however pointed out challenges which include inadequate latrine, staff quarters, few staff, desks etc.

The CAO thanked parents for supporting the UPE program and urged them to protect school land from land grabbers.

He reminded them that schools are Government facilities but public owned so should not donate government schools to religious institutions since government is only constructing public schools.

Kayunga has lost 4 schools to religious institutions.

The LCV Chairperson requested parents to support NRM government basing on its fruits. He pledged 30desks to Nakatuli PS and 50desks to Kayonza PS.

He said concentration on secondary school had been ignored but concentration is yet to begin by availing them with laboratories, classroom blocks among others.

He reminded them that the Kayunga Bbaale Galiraya road negotiations are done and very soon the Chinese contractor will be on site.

He called for cooperation since compensations will only be done on buildings not free land.
