INTERNATIONAL AFRICAN CHILD DAY IN KAYUNGA DISTRICT 2023

The Minister of state for Gender, labour and social Development Hon Sarah Mateke officiated the international Day of the African Child in Kayunga District under the theme "Promoting and Protecting Children's rights in the digital era" in memory of the African children who matched to the streets of Soweto in protest of the poor quality of Education.
In attendance were LCV, CAO, RDC, Technical staff and political leaders.
The Chief Guest Hon Sarah Mateke thanked the Director Madada foundation for his holistic development in organising an important function. She further applauded all stakeholders for the good leadership and giving education a priority.
She appealed to stakeholders to support and encourage kids to go back to school and engage them in skilled labour.
The Chairperson LCV thanked teachers in government schools for the efforts to promote Education since all schools are at full capacity in pupil attendance. The lost hope has been restored according to the pupil population in schools.
The RDC encouraged parents to take their Children to school since government is investing a lot of resources and promised to provide milk to government schools.
