Kayunga District laid a budget before council totalling to 57,645,703, 000 compared to 55,662,454, 000 in the FY 2024/2025. Under the theme " full monetisation of Uganda's economy through: Commercial, agriculture, industrialization, expanding and broadening services, digital transformation and market access."
The Secretary finance planning and administration noted an increase in the overall resource allocation.
The budget has priotised investment in monitoring PDM, human resource development, infrastructural development and promotion of innovations amongst the residents.
The proposed departmental plans and expenditures will depend on key emerging issues for the district development plan, NRM manifesto, sector plans and ongoing district programs and projects.
These additional funds will boost the education, health care, infrastructure and community service for the benefit of people in kayunga.
This budget will be scrutinized by Council committees guided by the technical team before approval.
The Council approved nominated persons on the health unit management committees of Bbaale and kangulumila HC IV.
The District Speaker urged them to be so vigilant in their roles due to the absentism of nurses resulting into loss of lives.
