CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP BY DI ON 09/11/2023

Kayunga District planning unit together with the Development Initiative held a three days capacity building workshop under the theme "strengthening District data system project" at Mingo hotel in Kayunga town council.

In attendance were Heads of Departments, District statistics committee, town clerks, SACAOs, CDOs, commercial officers and other technical staff.

This Project is piloted in only  2 Districts that's Kayunga and Masindi.

 It involves reporting from all various sectors and government institutions for example enhancing data collection and analysis reporting through the development of a harmonized data base in Kayunga.

The objectives of the project include:

1. Capacity building of staff on data analysis using Microsoft excel.

2.Developing better understanding of key concepts in the data life cycle.

3. To grasp how to utilize next cloud that can address data collection and storage.

The objectives were all achieved and participants were given the next cloud application on their computers to ease sharing of files, data and documents.

The District planner thanked members for honoring her invitation and encouraged them to practice the skills acquired and also teach others so as to perfect.
