LAUNCHING PHASE 2 FOR BBAALE WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM

The District leadership held a site hand over and launched phase II for Bbaale water supply project at Budaali landing site in Namirembe village Bbaale Subcounty. This project was approved by Kayunga District local council to be implemented in phases due to the limited resources. It started in FY 2022/2023. The project estimated cost is UGX, 1,632,108,527. The estimated period of time is 5 financial years (FY 2022/2023 - 2025/2026). The project is funded using the Rural Water Development Conditional Grant and Ugift funds received from Central Government Funds.

LAUNCHING PHASE 1 PROJECTS BY WATER FOR PEOPLE ORGANISATION

Kayunga District In conjunction With water for people (WFP) an implementing organization launched Phase one of the construction of 7 blocks of lined VIP Latrines in 4 schools and 3 health facilities in Kayunga District under the sanitation and hygiene fund (SHF). WFP iS a 3 year project in Uganda aimed at accelerating access to improved sanitation and hygiene services using the market based Aproach. The project strategic objectives include: 1. Scale  up sanitation and hygiene services in houesholds. 2.

Real father's project (somero)

Kayunga District stakeholders held an inception meeting with a team from Somero Uganda on implementation of Real Fathers - ECD integrated project.

The aim of the meeting was to promote positive parenting and non violent discipline by grooming fathers who are actively engaged in their children's education, Health and well-being.

Real Fathers Project is a proven intervention that is addressing the gap between young/early fathers aged 16 - 25yrs with a wife and a child below 3yrs.
