THE YOUTH GROUPS IN KAYUNGA RECEIVED A TOTAL SUM OF 226,140,000 MILLION FOR 29 GROUPS THROUGH THE YOUTH LIVELIHOOD PROGRAMME.

The youth groups in Kayunga received a total sum of 226,140,000 million for 29 groups through the youth livelihood programme.

The Principal Assistant Secretary on behalf of CAO congratulated the groups upon their success. He said government focus is to provide a revolving seed capital to youths which is now based on recovery performance.

He advised the groups to deal in enterprises where they have expertise to minimise losses.

He urged CDOs to support this program by organising regular visits to clients and ensure all members in the group benefit.

KAYUNGA DISTRICT RECEIVED A TROPHY WON BY THE DISTRICT SCOUTS ASSOCIATION IN THE NATIONAL COMPETITION AT KAZI CAMP IN WAKISO DISTRICT.

The District Education Officer on behalf of Kayunga District received a trophy won by the District Scouts Association in the National Competition at KAZI Camp in Wakiso District.

The DEO while handing over the trophy to the LCV Chairperson appreciated the scouts for exhibiting skills of discipline, innovation and hard work.

The District scouts officer thanked the Education department for the support and rallied all Head teachers to support scouts’ activities.

LAUNCHING OF DREAMS PROGRAM IN KAYUNGA

The Team from MACDOUGH  foods Uganda limited held a meeting with stakeholders on Horticulture market Acceleration program (HORTIMAP) at the District Headquarters.

The project is aimed at benefiting young farmers of which 70% females and 30% males  and create  descent  employment to youths preparing them for calamities and Risk management.

 It was noted that youths are challenged by calamities, lack of land and being cheated by middle men.

 The MACDOUGH team promised to further train youths and take them to exchange visits to get encouragement to stick on the game.
