YELLOW FEVER MASS VACCINATION COMPAIN

 The Ministry of Health in conjunction with kayunga District has planned a prevention against Yellow fever disease through a mass vaccination campaign. All persons aged 1-60 years should be vaccinated. People who have been vaccinated against Yellow fever should not go for another doze. it is given once in a lifetime. The campaign will take place from 2nd to 8th April 2024 at all health facilities and vaccination posts. Signs and symptoms of yellow fever include: I. Fever. muscle pain, prominent backache, Headacheshivers and loss of appetite. 2. Abdominal pain and vomiting. 3. Bleeding may occur from any body openings. 4. Kidney function deteriorates. Death within IO to 14 days. Yellow fever can be prevented through vaccination and mosquito control. Any signs of yellow fever should be reported immediately to a health worker Any reactions following yellow fever vaccination should be reported immediately to the health worker for appropriate investigation. All stakeholders are encouraged to support this campaign since it boosts our immunity and strengthens our bodies.
