Real father's project (somero)

District stakeholders held an inception meeting with a team from Someto Uganda on implementation Of Real Fathers - ECD integrated ptoject. The aim of the meeting was to promote positive parenting and non violent discipline by grooming fathers who are actively engaged in their children's education, Health and well-being- Real Fathers Project is a proven intervention that is addressing the gap between young/ early fathers aged 16 • 25yrs with a wife and a child below 3yrs. The project will be implemented for 4 years and in all subcounties in the District beginning with Nazigo, Kangulumilla and Kayonza targeting 3542 fathers and 708 mothers, The strategic objectives include: I -Creating a safe leaming environment for vulnerable children and young women. 2. To increase demand and access to affordabl Health care facilities for children and young women. 3.DeveIop skills needed for sustainable community development and promotion of peace and non-violence of cultural diversity- The team requested for support from the stakeholders in project monitoring, vetting process of the mentors, participation in project review meetings and mapping of Community child play centers, The Vice chairperson LCV advocated for continuous intervention targeting young fathers and mothers thus improving harmony in cornrnunities-
