PDM Annual General Meeting in kayunga Subcounty.

Annual General meetings (AGM) for kayunga District PDM Saccos is on and will run till 22nd August 2024.

Since PDM inception in 2020/2021, kayunga District has received a total of 147,753,500 billion Shillings disbursed to 71 PDM Saccos.

 AGM were intended to evaluate PDM progress, identify gaps that need improvement, review last year's performance and plan ahead.

Issues discussed during the meeting include:

1. New members were admitted to the saccos in accordance to the bylaws.

2. Vacant leadership positions were filled.

3. Training of PDM Sacco members.

4. Presentation of audit reports. 

The Commercial officer Ms Mirembe Nelly stressed the importance of cooperation bettween AGM delegates eg Chairpersons, Secretaries,Treasurers from enterprise groups and local leaders since it will create transparency and effective use of PDM funds.

She discouraged them from changing the enterprises and only invest in the enterprise that was agreed upon by the vetting committee.

The RDC informed the members that PDM is for the active poor with passion for development and determination to fight poverty.

He emphasized that this strategy is for households not individuals and repayment is expected after 2 years

He encouraged the PDM Saccos leadership to serve deligently their surbodinates considering all the 6 PDM pillars not financial inclusion alone.
