WORKSHOP ON THE USAGE OF TELA MACHINES BY THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SPORTS

A team from the MoES  held a training with Head teachers on the operationalisation of TELA system at Namagabi UMEA Primary School in Kayunga District.

The District Education Officer Mr Bubaale Dan urged School Heads to embrace the TELA system in schools and institutions to fight the challenge of absenteeism and late coming of Teachers and learners. A TELA system is a performance monitoring platform designed to monitor teacher, headteacher and learner’s attendance. 

 The DEO emphasised on the issue of submitting performance appraisal forms for the previous financial year.

KAYUNGA LCI AND IIs RECEIVE EX-GRATIA

The District Chairperson presided over a meeting with all LC1 Chairpersons and LC2 for Busaana Town Council, Busaana Subcounty, Kayunga Town Council and Kayunga Subcounty. The

Secretary Finance, District Speaker were all in attendance.

The Chairperson LCV applauded the local councils’ leadership at village levels for their exemplary skills of management and rallied them to support government programmes especially the Parish Development Model.

In the meeting, the LC1s and LC2s received their Ex Gratia from Kayunga District local government.

CAPACITY BUILDING ON RISK COMMUNICATION IN CASE OF ANY OUTBREAK

The Ministry of Health under the department of health promotion Education and Communication in partnership with the Red Cross Society and Selected District Staffs have undergone a two-Days training on Risk and Communication Engagement.

The Workshop took place at Source of the Nile Hotel in Jinja City.

The Objective of the training was to enhance Regional RCCE Capacity with knowledge and skills necessary to effectively address the changing nature of risk communication in case of any outbreak.
